Blue badge scheme set for £55m overhaul

An overhaul of the blue badge disabled driver scheme has been announced, potentially costing up to £55 million.

Councils will get the power to confiscate stolen or forged blue badges using a £10 million national data system, which will ensure stolen or forged badges can be easily identified.
