Paragon launches online auction

Paragon Remarketing is launching a new online auction, which will go live in January 2009.

The auction aims to attract dealers by not charging buyer fees and offering money-back guaranteed conditioned reports.

“I don’t believe the business model of the traditional auction houses makes sense anymore,” said Stephen Hucklesby, Paragon’s group managing director.

“In direct response to buyers’ dissatisfaction with escalating auction fees we’re looking forward to delivering our unique business proposition.”

Newly appointed Paragon Remarketing managing director Peter Davies said the new online service could cut remarketing cycles in half and offers “the best value auction platform for buyers in the UK”.

1car1 has already confirmed it will sell its vehicles through the new online service.
