Settling in: Bill Raynal

How are you settling in? Bill Raynal, director - operations, Tracker

How was your first day?

Busy with the people who run the business. It was spent discussing their hopes and aspirations for the future.

How does your new role differ from your last job?

The role is broader than my previous role as director –operations in a credit card business as it covers all functions.

It is smaller in scale as before I covered 5,000 people across the UK and Europe.

What are you working on at the moment?

Finding new strategies and competitive positions for Tracker to ensure we continue to grow and expand.

How is the fleet industry changing?

I see an emerging focus on green issues and the credit crunch will have an impact on volumes and costs for all businesses. Vehicle asset management services will also be instrumental.

What has been your biggest achievement in the job?

Implementing a focus on the customer and a real turnaround in attitudes across the business so that we always put our customers first.
