How are you settling in? Andrew Sproston, sales director, Fiat Group Automobiles UK

Describe the first week in your new role?

It was really busy and hectic. I had two solid days of meetings which were followed by three days of dealer visits. It is the perfect combination but as yet I have not repeated it.

How does your new role vary from your previous job?

It’s different as I now have complete responsibility and accountability for the market.

What are you working on at the moment?

I am completing the budgets and dealer plans for 2009.

What is your favourite aspect of the job?

The variation - the dynamic nature of Fiat makes no day ever the same.

How are the fleet and sales markets changing?

The credit climate is making everybody consider their purchases carefully.

Fiat has always been seen as very strong in the city and small car sectors, and with consistently the lowest CO2 emissions of any manufacturer in Europe, we are very much on everybody’s agenda.

What is your favourite restaurant and why?

I don’t have a favourite restaurant, I’ll have to say my home as my wife is an amazing cook.
