Satellite pollution project

A new comprehensive air pollution data service is being created by a European consortium.

It will marry up information from satellites with ground-based readings. Headed by the European Environment Agency and the European Space Agency, the system will utilise the new European Union GMES (Global Monitoring for Environment and Security) satellite system.
