At 12.30pm this afternoon, the Chancellor Alastair Darling will deliver his first budget.

It is predicted that he will delay the planned 2p per litre fuel duty increase until August.

The controversial hike was supposed to be introduced in April.

The Chacnellor is also expected to introduce incentives for companies and employees to move into less polluting vehicles.
