VAT recovery for parking expenses

National Car Parks (NCP) has launched Gateway, a national car parking payment card.

This follows a two-year investment programme to deliver the initiative, which is a business account facility available to all companies, including local authorities and public bodies.

Gateway is a deferred payment card that enables users to pay a month in arrears.

No coins are needed for the user and the cards are accepted at more than 330 NCP car parks.

NCP says that with the potential for full VAT recovery, an automatic saving of 17.5% becomes available to companies using the card.
