Standards mark

The British Standards Institute’s new Kitemark standard for garages has been welcomed by the Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMIF).

“Poor standards of customer service in the retail motor sector are unacceptable, so any scheme that can offer protection to consumers is welcome,” said Alec Murray, RMIF chairman.

The scheme has 150 companies whose membership assures quality for consumers.
