Lucy Banton-Moczadlo, Fleet administrator, Chalcroft

Describe your fleet

We have 120-130 vehicles on fleet at any given time. These are a mix of small and larger vans, a variety of cars, a 3.5-tonne tipper and a 7.5-tonne flatbed wagon.

How did you get into working in fleet?

I joined Chalcroft a year ago as an administrator and part of the role was to oversee the fleet. I did a lot of work getting it up to date, improving systems and producing a more comprehensive driver manual. Fleet managing is now a large part of my role.

Would you recommend a career in fleet?

If you are organised, can multi-task and enjoy a challenge, then yes.

What is your favourite aspect of the job?

I enjoyed seeing my manual go to print and being used. I have a good rapport with the drivers and sometimes get to drive nice cars.

And your least favourite?

Insurance claims are never simple.

What item could you not live without (and why)?

My Subaru Impreza WRX. Also, my Rottweiler puppy as he gives good cuddles.
