Andy Gibiino, fleet administrator, BSS Group

Describe your fleet.

We currently have around 860 vehicles.

This is made up of 40% vans and 60% medium to large goods vehicles.

How did you get into the fleet industry?

I graduated with a degree in business information systems in 2006 and took a role in fleet. I was lured by the prospects.

What does your typical day consist of?

With a fleet our size, every day is really busy. I get asked a lot of questions as we operate from around 350 depots.

What is the biggest challenge you face
at work?

Dealing with the workload – there is so much to think about, including the operator licence, insurance and the build programme.

What has been your biggest achievement?

Ensuring that the fleet was modified to comply with the speed limiter legislation that came into force.

What object could you not live without?

Professionally, it would be the VOSA self-service system. It is a useful facility to have.
