This is a prototype of the production Saab 9-4X, which was seen as a concept car at the Detroit Motor Show earlier this year.
Due out in 2010 and costing around £27,000, this will be Saab’s flagship car and is likely to look very close to the concept.
Expect it to have Saab’s latest XWD (cross-wheel-drive) system. The petrol-powered version is likely to run on E85 bioethanol.
Saab is considering offering its Performance Assist tech-nology as an option on the car.
This is a 30bhp electric motor that turns the car into a hybrid.
