Inchcape wins five-year British Waterways contract

A new five-year contract has been agreed between British Waterways and Inchcape Fleet Solutions.

The contract covers the outsourced management of the company car fleet, purchasing and disposal services related to British Waterways’ outright purchase of all commercial vehicles - mainly Ford Transits and Rangers - the maintenance management of all vehicles, accident management, fuel card administration and the utilisation of Inchcape Fleet Solution’s Premier Service.

Premier Service gives drivers access to a one-stop shop booking service accessible via the telephone or internet to accommodate vehicle service, maintenance and repairs.

British Waterways national procurement manager Rob Williams said: “The continuing development of online functionality by Inchcape Fleet Solutions has enabled British Waterways to remove a significant amount of administrative day-to-day fleet issues from our staff.”

Inchcape Fleet Solutions managing director Terry Bartlett said: “A five-year contract continues to be relatively rare in the fleet industry.”
