Trio unite to cut accidents and congestion

Three road safety, traffic management and data collection companies have been incorporated into a new company - the Clearview Traffic Group - to provide solutions to help reduce accidents and congestion.

Clearview Traffic, Astucia and Golden River Traffic make up the trio.

“We are providing transport planners, motorists and highways professionals with a single, efficient and easily accessed source of solutions to the challenges faced across our transport network,” said marketing director Martin Rodgers.

Perhaps the most visible brand in the portfolio is the intelligent road stud containing LEDs, which can be powered by solar cells and can extend the night-time 'view' of the road from around 90 metres to over 900 metres.

Their use in accident black spots has reduced the number of people killed or seriously injured by up to 70%.
