Iris online system penetration increases

Companies using Inchcape Fleet Solutions can use a new 24/7 online service developed by Nexus.

The IRental – one of the company's suite of online services – gives customers access to more than 130,000 vehicles.

The service is the first in the industry to be developed utilising Nexus’s award-winning IRIS Rental Management application.

It enables customers to place, view and amend vehicle hire bookings 24/7 whilst also complementing the company’s current rental process.

Inchcape's managing director, Terry Bartlett said: “Our customers increasingly want tailormade solutions to meet their every business requirement.

"The sophisticated IRIS system encapsulates this approach providing Inchcape Fleet Solutions with the ability to deliver a range of customer specific rental access and management options which are then executed through the supply chain management modules of IRIS."

Nexus CEO, Neil McCrossan, added: “IRIS removes cost from the delivery of rental services, improves the customer proposition and helps Inchcape Fleet Solutions deliver the promised volume and profile of business to its suppliers while optimizing service performance and margin.

"It really is a win win for all parties.”
