Chrysler is to launch electric models in each of its three brands and will showcase the technology at the Paris Motor Show.

The EV models run purely on electricity and will be displayed as prototypes in the Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler ranges at Paris – the Dodge EV is an electric sports car, the Jeep EV a Wrangler Jeep model and the Chrysler EV a Grand Voyager people carrier (pictured).

Chrysler will select one of the EV models to become a production car in 2010 for the north American market, with European markets to follow after 2010.

Additionally, 100 Chrysler electric vehicles will be on the road in government, business and utility fleets in the US next year.

Eventually the technology will be rolled out into
production models across the three brands.
