Fleet News is to merge the FN50 Leasing Personality of the Year with the Fleet News Platinum Award to create the Fleet News Hall of Fame and is seeking your nominations for the first of this year’s two entrants.

One person will be added to the Hall of Fame at the awards ceremony on March 18, followed by a second entry in November.

Entrants will be chosen from those individuals nominated by Fleet News readers and representatives of the fleet industry.

If you would like to suggest someone to join the Fleet News Hall of Fame, please email colleen.dixon@bauermedia.co.uk with details of your nomination.

Put “Hall of Fame” in the subject line and state the name and position of your candidate.

Then, in no more than 300 words, tell us why you think they should be considered.

Please include your own name and contact details and make sure Colleen receives them no later than Friday January 30.

The Fleet News Hall of Fame is the industry’s highest accolade.

Inducted at its inception are the previous FN50 Leasing Personality of the Year winners:

  • Jon Walden, MD of Lex;
  • Roddy Graham, commercial director of Leasedrive Velo and chairman of the Institute of Car Fleet Management;
  • Nigel Stead, MD of LloydsTSBautolease and chairman of the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association.
  • Stewart Whyte of Fleet Audits and current holder of the Fleet News Platinum Award will also be an inaugural member.

Nominations for an entry into the Hall of Fame should go to individuals who have made a huge contribution to the industry.

It’s not about long service only, nor is it a personality contest. It’s about achievement, innovation and positive change.
