Electronic driver permit launched

An electronic driver permit that identifies whether drivers are eligible to drive on company business has been launched by Active Risk Management.

The online permit provides fleet managers with a continual, auditable record for each driver that shows whether they have fulfilled the necessary criteria that make them eligible to drive on company business.

For grey fleet drivers the checks can be extended to include business insurance, MOT, road fund licence and service validation.

Marcus Noble, ARM managing director said: “Fleet customers have found the driver’s permit to be the ideal solution for identifying and tracking those drivers who are ineligible to drive on company business.

"It provides a clear, visual and auditable record of the status and eligibility of individual drivers.”
