Citroën is strengthening its commercial vehicle sales division to increase its share of the light van fleet market.
Its existing commercial vehicle operations team is being expanded to now include its six field-based business centre managers.
Citroën has recently merged its van and business centres in a move aimed at improving service to corporate customers, as well as winning more small fleet business, this restructure is seen as the final piece in the jigsaw.
Its aim is to raise its van market share from just over 7% last year to 8% this year and is targeting both small and medium size fleet customers.
It promises deals on a wide range of Citroën LCVs during the coming year, which should mirror those seen at its recent van fortnight that offered up to £7,105 off Relays, up to £5,625 off Dispatch vans and up to £3,520 off Berlingos.
“With virtually brand new models across the entire Citroën LCV range, I am convinced that we have a very promising future in the UK market,” Charles Peugeot who is heading up the new team.
