Johnston drives MaxEV in Future Car Challenge

RLE International and Energetique have announced that Keith Johnston of Going Green fame will be driving MaxEV, the 100% Electric VW Maxi Caddy Van, at the Future Car Challenge, Brighton to London rally.

The RAC Future Car Challenge will take place on November 6, the day before the world famous London to Brighton Veteran Car Run using the same 60-mile course.

Johnston said: “I’m truly excited to be able to drive MaxEV and can’t wait to get behind the wheel. This type of fully electric light commercial vehicle makes perfect sense in today’s commercial fleet market.”

The challenge aims to highlight low energy impact vehicles, which can have a major positive effect in climate change. Prizes will be awarded for vehicles that use the least energy throughout the 60-mile course.
