BMW sale highlights prestige demand

A special closed auction conducted by BCA on behalf of the BMW Group at Nottingham sold 265 vehicles for a 100% conversion generating a turnover of £8.1 million.

The sale was the first to take place this year and attracted 97 registered buyers to BCA’s Nottingham centre.

Bidding was brisk with vehicles ranging from Mini to BMW 7-series available achieving an average selling price of £30,695, equivalent to 80.8% of original cost new and 112.6% of CAP Clean.

The sale featured the auction debut of the new BMW 5 series GT which achieved an average selling price of £43,175, equivalent to 82.5% of original cost new and 122.8% of CAP Clean.

BMW’s Kevin Davidson, general manager, used car operations and group internal sales, said: “This was one of the most sale successful sale events ever staged by BMW.”
