Alliance Asset Management has experienced an upsurge in interest following a shortage of rental cars and an increase in accident damage caused by the wintry weather.

With a backlog building of vehicles requiring repair and journeys being postponed, coupled with a shortage of vehicles for hire, many of Britain’s rental companies have been forced to prioritise customer requirements.

Typically they have focused on meeting demand from organisations with whom they have sole supply arrangements.

Consequently, Alliance Asset Management has been answering ‘cries for help’ from fleets in record numbers as they look to find a partner to manage their fleets, reduce their damage repair down time and provide replacement vehicles for their day-to-day business needs.

Vincent St Claire, managing director of the Cambridgeshire-based business, said: “We have been able to assist customers in getting their vehicles repaired as well as meet their more general rental requirements.

“We also purchased a handful of 4x4s on behalf of customers in urgent need of vehicles to ensure journeys could be made in the snow and ice at a time when rental availability had dried up.”
