The Audi A3 was named the Best Small Premium Car at the 2010 Fleet News Awards.

The Audi A3 has evolved into the strongest fleet proposition in its sector with as much practicality as a mainstream hatchback but with the desirability of its premium badge. It has always been a popular choice in its sector, but greater depth has been added to its impressive ability.

During 2009 Audi introduced a range of fuel-saving, CO2-reducing technology across the A3 range, adding to its appeal and offering fleets plenty of petrol and diesel choices under the 160g/km threshold.

The A3 scores well for low CO2 emissions and overall running costs.

Judges’ comments
The A3 has more appeal to a broader fleet audience – young, old, male and female. It fairs better on wholelife costs and emissions and it retains its value even against a strong peer group. The A3 is continually evolving as Audi keeps improving the engine line-up.
