The Volvo XC60 has been named Best SUV at the 2010 Fleet News awards.

Volvo’s XC60 offers a great combination of quality, badge appeal and manageable running costs.

Volvo offers a sub-160g/km version with front-wheel drive available with all the luxury features of other models, but with potential savings for fleet operators and drivers. With pricing that starts at the same level as mid-range versions of 4x4s from the volume manufacturers the XC60 spans both mainstream and premium sectors.

A focus on safety is part of Volvo’s heritage but with its unique ‘city safety’ system, the XC60 shows the company is still leading the way.

Judges’ comments
The XC60 does everything well. It’s as comfortable with a mountain rescue team as it is a city-based driver. It has strong residuals and a quality feel as well as being safe and comfortable. And with the Drive option, it is available with sub-160g/km emissions levels.

The Ford Kuga was highly commended by the judges.
