Network, the fleet broker arm of LeasePlan UK, has implemented the Leaselink e-procurement platform from Ebbon-Dacs across its network of franchisees. This enables them to source and order new fleet vehicles electronically, significantly improving the overall efficiency of the process.

Parent LeasePlan UK, with a fleet of 122,000 vehicles, already uses Leaselink to source, order, process and track its vehicles.

Mike Thompson, Network account director, explained the rationale behind the decision to opt for Leaselink.

“Leaselink is completely in line with our desire to give our franchisees the means to make their business as efficient and cost effective as possible. It completely automates the sourcing and order process, providing a clear audit trail, and tracks orders through the system so that the user can see where an order is at any one time simply by pushing a button.

“Feedback to date has been extremely positive and, although it is still early days, we are confident that Leaselink will deliver savings in time and cost for our franchisees” he said.

Research by Leaselink supplier, Oxford-based online solutions provider Ebbon-Dacs, has recently shown that the e-procurement platform delivers costs savings of 10-15% over old, traditional methods of sourcing and ordering vehicles.

“We are absolutely delighted to add Network to the Leaselink family of companies that source, order and track their vehicles electronically,” said Rob Pilkington, managing director of Leaselink International.

“E-procurement has been shown to deliver savings in vehicle acquisition costs straight to the bottom line, and we are confident that Network’s brokers will see all of these benefits for themselves over time,” he said.
