DVLA Personalised Registrations is selling the perfect personalised registration for all Essex drivers - ESS 3X

In what can only be described as the most apt plate to spell out the county's name, ESS 3X will go under the hammer on Wednesday, June 2, at Whittlebury Hall, Northamptonshire, from June 2.

And with the reserve price set at a modest £900, DVLA experts are expecting high interest surrounding it.

Damian Lawson, DVLA Personalised Registrations' Marketing Manager, said: "A lot of people are naturally very proud of their local roots. There can't be many regions in the UK which lend themselves to a personalised plate quite like Essex and fortunately, ESS 3X is ideal."

ESS 3X is among 1,500 plates being auctioned over three days and while it will undoubtedly prove popular, the so-called stars of the show will be 7 O and 10 OOO, the latest of the O-Series registrations released to commemorate DVLA Personalised Registrations 20th anniversary. To date, the registrations 1 O, 2 O, 3 O, 4 O, 5 O, 6 O, 9 O, 1 OOO and 2 OOO have amassed a staggering £872,000.

In total, DVLA's forthcoming auction will comprise 1,500 registrations chosen to offer an eclectic mix to suit all tastes, styles and pockets, including, ALS 911 (reserve - £1,900), BOO7 HAM (£900), EL10 OTT (£1,000), F458 RED (£900), F1 USA (£1,900), GOF 11E (£350), H15 DOG (£900), 599 JS (£2,600), 51 NKS (£1,900), N47 URE (£350), N188 LER (£300), 7 O (£10,000), 0007 BND (£900), 10 OOO (£8,000), OWN 805S (£350), ROL 333X (£400), SO10 ACT (£1,000), SKY 7V (£400), SO10 MON (£1,000), VE55 SPA (£900), W11 DOW (£900).
