A fleet of 164 Ford vehicles operated by leading rental company, Hertz, including the new Ford Galaxy, will provide transport to tennis stars and their coaches at this year's Wimbledon Championships.

The Hertz and the All England Lawn Tennis Club's (AELTC) agreement means that Ford vehicles will be used to provide transportation for players such as Andy Murray, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and the Williams sisters.

Russell McGill, director of fleet development, Ford of Britain said: "We are delighted that Hertz have chosen Ford vehicles as their transport of choice. The close association with celebrity sports men and women at Wimbledon is great for our brand."

Neil Cunningham, general manager UK & European strategic projects, Hertz UK Ltd said: "We were delighted to partner with Ford again for The Championships; having a spacious and reliable fleet is essential to provide the very best service to players and coaches."

Last year over 15,000 journeys were made transporting players, coaches, and managers to and from the All England Club in Wimbledon, covering an estimated 228,000 miles in the process - equal to driving around the globe nine times.
