The 2011 Citroën Créative Awards are on track to repeat the success of the 2010 competition. The submission deadline has been extended to Sunday 15 January to cope with the volume of entries from across the globe.

Since it launched in October, entrants have been submitting an exciting range of ideas to impress the panel of judges, with many already featuring on the Créative Awards website.

Three competition categories offer opportunities for budding fashion designers (Style Contest), film makers (Video Contest) and conceptual thinkers (Idea Contest) to showcase their work on the international stage and also compete for a cash prize of up to €3,000. Submissions will be judged by a panel of top magazine editors and style directors, as well as Citroën-sponsored Olympic gold medal-winning sailor Iain Percy.

The 2010 competition was won by Italian designer Flavio Melchiorre, whose winning roof design was displayed at Citroën’s international showcase on the Champs-Elysées, the C_42, and was also put into full production earlier this year.
