Vauxhall has won the Small Van of the Year honour for the Corsavan and the manufacturer’s ecoFLEX range picking up the Green Award.
The judging panel at the influential commercial vehicle title were impressed by the Corsavan’s best-in-class CO2 emissions of just 95g/km and its smooth and flexible new Euro 5-compliant 1.3CDTi 16v (95PS) turbo diesel engine, matched with the latest Start/Stop technology.
Vauxhall’s industry-first ecoFLEX van range scooped What Van?’s Green gong. Back in January, Vauxhall was the first commercial vehicle manufacturer to feature an eco-model for each van in its range including Corsavan, Astravan, Combo, Vivaro and Movano.
Paul Barker, What Van? Editor, said, “Vauxhall’s impressive ecoFLEX technology and efforts to show exactly which are the most efficient models help operators save fuel and therefore money, while the Corsavan has taken another step forward in emissions during 2011, making it more appealing than ever and a worthy Small Van of the Year winner.”
Steve Bryant, brand manager, Vauxhall Commercial Vehicles, said, “We are very happy to receive these awards from What Van?. The ever popular Corsavan offers customers the perfect combination of functionality, eye-catching design and low running costs. It’s also great news to be recognised with the Green award for our ecoFLEX range, the first of its kind in the commercial vehicle industry.”
