DHL Supply Chain has announced the launch of DHL Supply Chain Matters, a new online industry resource aiming to help readers navigate the complex modern logistics environment.

Utilising DHL’s global reach and industry expertise, DHL Supply Chain Matters will demonstrate how organisations can gain an edge through innovation and optimisation, sharing experiences and best practice from across the world of logistics.

The first edition includes a review of the way multi-channel retailing has resulted in the rethinking of supply chains, with interviews from both Google, and fashion retailer FitFlop. The effect of globalisation on the way goods are manufactured and transported is also explored, along with advice on how to generate procurement efficiencies, benefit from collaboration with competitors and implement a sustainable supply chain.

Graham Inglis, ceo of DHL Supply Chain, said: “The rapid pace of change across industries and regions has continued to drive innovation and demand flexibility in the supply chain. Businesses are under increasing pressure to ensure their product reaches its destination as quickly as possible. The trend for longer supply chains to help reduce costs, increased political difficulties, and environmental expectations are just some examples of what makes today’s logistics landscape so complex. DHL Supply Chain Matters has been designed to provide insight into how supply chains can be improved and are likely to evolve, to help ensure our customers are prepared for change and getting the most from their operation.”
