Apex Car and Van Rental has appointed ATS Euromaster to supply tyres and a complete SMR (service, maintenance and repair) package across its 1,000-strong fleet.

The deal will streamline fast-fit services across the fleet’s 600 cars and 400 vans and minibuses, replacing a system which previously relied on up to ten smaller independent providers. It will also increase fleet management efficiency throughout the rental company’s affiliates and partners.

Paul Whatmore, operations manager of Apex Car and Van Rental, explains: “This agreement will introduce important brand and service continuity to our fleet and radically reduce our administrative workload.

“Where previously we were sourcing suppliers according to vehicle location and fitting a mixture of tyre brands, ATS Euromaster provides a nationwide
one-stop-shop solution and a commitment to fitting our chosen tyre brand, Avon,” he adds.

The agreement means rental customers can be directed to their nearest ATS Euromaster centre for the majority of all vehicle service issues. Local staff can assist with everything from tyre replacement and puncture repairs through to batteries, brakes, exhausts, fault diagnostics, shock absorbers, as well as oil and filter changes.

Customers calling Apex Car and Van rental Rental’s Head Office with a technical issue or emergency will also be advised to visit ATS Euromaster, and all vehicles will carry a directory of the service provider’s 370-strong network of centres.
