Commercial director appointed by National

The National Accident Repair Group has announced that Malcolm Banner will be joining the Group as commercial director.

Working closely with the main board, Banner will be responsible for securing new accounts and promoting the National proposition in what is its second year since its launch in February 2010.

Whilst National has already secured a number of key clients, the members have always shared an ambition to develop further national corporate client opportunities, providing a UK-wide offer of bodyshop solutions.

Banner was previously commercial manager for Nationwide Accident Repair Services where he worked for 10 years. He joined Nationwide in 2001 as regional manager, before being appointed to the senior management team in 2004. Prior to joining Nationwide, he was market area manager for several dealer groups.

He said: “I am delighted to be joining National at this early stage in its development and look forward to working with the Board to build on the confident market position already established.”
