Europcar celebrates Motability award win

Europcar is celebrating winning the ‘scheme partner’ award at the sixth annual Motability Supplier Awards.

The award win builds on Europcar's commended status last year and demonstrates Europcar's commitment to providing industry leading support for Motability car scheme customers.

The awards are organised by Motability Operations, the business behind the Motability car, powered wheelchair and scooter schemes for disabled people.

Europcar was highlighted by Motability Operations as one of the businesses supporting the service provided to over half a million Motability customers in the UK.

With award wins and commendations ranging from those for individual car dealers and car manufacturers, to specialist businesses that convert cars to make them wheelchair accessible, the awards celebrate the diversity of the Motability car, powered wheelchair and scooter schemes.

The judges praised Europcar's approach in meeting the customer needs of those with very specific requirements, including examples of personnel delivering the most suitable car to the opposite end of the country in order to ensure a customer has continuous mobility.

Ken McCall, managing director, Europcar Group UK, said: "To win a Motability Supplier Award is simply fantastic, particularly against the stiff competition for which the awards are renowned. This recognition comes on the back of the work we have done to ensure we are constantly engaging in a dialogue with our customers to identify and fulfil their needs - as was acknowledged by the Awards judges. We aim to continue building on this win to sustain our strong partnership with Motability in years to come."
