The ‘Citroën Vans - Business Class’ programme has been at the heart of Citroën’s LCV 2011 success in winning a range of prestigious awards. The innovation and success of this programme, which involves Citroën’s people, products and services - and focuses on delivering an outstanding level of customer service - has recently been recognised with the 2012 What Van? Innovation Award.

As part of ‘Citroën Vans - Business Class’, Citroën launched its ‘5 Star’ Euro 5 programme, which has delivered LCV fuel efficiency improvements of up to 19% and CO2 reductions of up to 17.5%.

The Citroën ‘5 Star’ Euro 5 programme also includes the new e-HDi 90 Berlingo vans, incorporating the advanced Airdream micro-hybrid powertrain with Stop & Start technology and the availability of Citroën’s automated manual EGS gearbox.

The ‘5 Star’ Euro 5 programme was a major contributing factor in Citroën winning the prestigious 2011 GreenFleet LCV Manufacturer of the Year Award for an unprecedented third year, against very strong competition.

Scott Michael, Citroën’s commercial vehicle operations manager, remarked: “The ‘Citroën Vans - Business Class’ programme has enabled the Company to improve the already high level of sales and aftersales support it provides to its customers. This programme has also seen the fuel efficiency and emissions of the Citroën LCV range further improve, which in turn has resulted in this significant number of prestigious 2011 awards.”
