Mobexx now offers a Swedish-designed and built multipurpose in-cab computer. The JLT jFlex is rugged and doubles as both a fixed-mount 8.4-inch touchscreen PC (SVGA daylight viewable) for in-vehicle applications and as a tablet PC for jobs that require the operator to get out of the vehicle to record data.

It eliminates the need for multiple mobile devices and also enables the computer to be moved from vehicle to vehicle, quickly and easily reducing the need to fit each vehicle with a dedicated computer.

The computer is built and tested to IP65, operates in temperatures from -30C to + 55C and has an Intel Atom 1.6 GHz processor and supports various types of operating systems such as Windows 7, Windows XP and Linux.

To enhance the device’s portability a range of accessories are available, including different mounting solutions, electrical adaptors, rugged keyboards and GPS and 3G modem modules.

“The jFlex is a good alternative to needing another handheld computer with additional peripherals for quick out of vehicle tasks, such as signature capture for proof of delivery, recording vehicle defects or for additional portability in the warehouse. JLT computers are proven to be reliable and with the jFlex users get the the computing power and mobile functionality they need in a single integrated unit,” said Mark Dale-Lace, director, Mobexx.
