As part of the ‘Citroën Vans - Business Class’ programme, the Citroën LCV range has been further expanded with the introduction of the new Euro 5 Dispatch HDi 125 6-speed manual L2H1 1200 Crew Van. This new 6 seat model, which is fully approved by Citroën UK with its full LCV two year/unlimited mileage or three year/100,000 mile warranty, joins the Berlingo 5 seat Crew Van to offer even greater choice in a growing sector of the market.

Scott Michael, Citroën’s Commercial Vehicle Operations Manager comments; “The new Dispatch Crew Van meets operator requirements to further improve efficiency. Duty of care considerations and rising fuel prices are among the key reasons why businesses are increasingly specifying crew vans. With its combination of 1,067kg payload, 6 seats and a large load compartment, the Dispatch Crew Van meets most operator needs in this growing LCV market sector. Most importantly, as the Dispatch Crew Van has a payload of over 1,000kg, it is possible for VAT-registered business customers to reclaim the VAT paid on the vehicle.”

Priced at £21,120, the Dispatch HDi 125 6-speed manual L2H1 1200 Crew Van provides safe, comfortable transport for up to 6 people including the driver. It also has the added benefit of being able to carry a sizeable load of cargo or tools and equipment. It can provide significant savings by minimising the number of trips required during the working day.

To provide seating for a crew of up to 6, the Dispatch Crew Van has a driver’s seat and a dual front passenger seat with a second row of seats, which incorporates an integral bulkhead - tested to ISO 27956 for load shifting protection. The 3 person second row bench is designed and tested to comply with EU Whole Vehicle Approval safety standards. The rear passenger bench seat also includes adjustable headrests and three-point inertia reel seat belts.

Fixed side windows, or optional sliding windows, are provided in the twin sliding side loading doors. The integrated moulded bulkhead has a central viewing window behind the second row bench, allowing full visibility should glazed rear doors be specified. The Dispatch Crew Van’s extended passenger compartment is trimmed with matching seats throughout. The model features an ABS plastic and fabric headlining - including a ceiling-mounted light - and full ABS plastic trims on the sliding doors and side walls. The rear crew compartment also includes a removable carpet on top of the rubber anti-slip floor trim for ease of cleaning.

The design and positioning of the rear seat and bulkhead means that both passenger legroom and load area are maximized. Thanks to a clever use of space, a 310mm deep x 1100mm wide aperture allows access to the space under the rear bench seat, giving a maximum floor length of 2,110mm in the rear load compartment. The load deck length in the main part of the load area, behind the rear bulkhead, is 1700mm.

The Dispatch Crew Van is equipped to the same high level as the standard Dispatch van, including Trafficmaster Smartnav satellite navigation, Trackstar stolen vehicle tracking, electric front windows, remote central locking, trip computer, RDS radio and CD player. With the newly launched Euro 5 HDi 125 engine the Dispatch Crew Van has a combined fuel economy figure of 41.5mpg (6.8l/100km) and CO2 emissions of 179g/km.
