Nationwide expands partnership with Hastings Direct

Nationwide has expanded its partnership with Hastings Direct by becoming its sole supplier for all vehicle insurance claims repairs. Previously, Nationwide was one of two companies providing the service. Nationwide Network Services, the accident management division of Nationwide, will now deal with all of Hastings Direct’s at-fault accident repair claims, repair management, repair estimate verification and salvage total loss valuations. This nearly doubles the size of the contract and Nationwide expects to complete over 9,000 repairs a year.

The move follows Hastings Direct’s improvement of its interactive voice recognition system to enable customers to access information on their vehicle repairs more quickly through one supplier.

Michael Lee, managing director, Hastings Direct, commented “Nationwide provides us and our customers with excellent service, so it was an easy decision to make when we needed to streamline our suppliers in this area. We need to continue to provide innovative and responsive services for our customers. The flexibility that the team at Nationwide has demonstrated to create a bespoke accident management solution for us makes them an ideal partner to help us achieve optimum service for our customers.”

Steve Thompson, managing director at Nationwide Network Services, said, “To be awarded the total contract by Hastings Direct is very gratifying and testimony to the effort and energy we’ve put into this very valued partnership. We ensure we give exceptional and bespoke service as this gives us the foundations on which to build long-term relationships with our customers.“
