Ashfords LLP has announced the launch of MotorAssistant, a new app developed in-house and available free to motorists with iPhones, iPads or iPods. MotorAssistant enables users to instantly and accurately record and store important information after an accident, either in text, photographic, or voice formats. There is also a GPS co-ordinate function.

MotorAssistant also stores information relating to insurance, MOT, breakdown cover and road tax, including renewal reminders as well as offers guidance on what to do in the event of an accident.
Gathering data in multi media formats offers an easy to use method of storing vital evidence after an accident which can strengthen a case against a negligent driver and help to identify and prevent potentially fraudulent claims.

Commenting on the launch of the new app, Flora Wood, partner and head of Ashfords’ personal injury practice said: “MotorAssistant is a real breakthrough in the way motorists can now capture vital data relating to an accident as well as being a handy tool to remind then when to renew their tax disc or MOT . We believe this free app will also prove popular with insurers and the legal profession as the "app" allows the collected data to be sent to them via email.”
