National Windscreens strengthens relationship with Dow Automotive

National Windscreens has chosen Dow Automotive Systems to provide vehicle glass bonding adhesive systems to its UK network.

Dow Automotive Systems’ BETASEAL 1580 glass bonding system provides minimum drive-away time of 30 minutes, even with cars with twin airbags.

BETASEAL 1580 also meet OEM durability specifications and Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) for glass retention, rollover/roof crush regulations.

Steve Vickers, key account manager for Dow, confirms: “Thatcham, Motor Insurance Repair Research Centre (the name behind the PAS 125 approved body repairer scheme) has validated Dow’s BETASEAL 1580 system within their TQM (Thatcham Quality Management) standard.

"This included the successful auditing of the Dow’s state of the art production facilities in Germany.”

Dow Automotive is very pleased to be able to continue building on long established relationships with National Windscreens in helping to raise quality standards through Dow’s unique Fixed Glass Training Programs.
