Auto Windscreens has taken delivery of 40 new vans, specifically to meet growing demand for repairs from its new and existing customers in the fleet sector.

The company has had a particularly successful first quarter of the year, since its new regional sales team has acquired more than 200 customers since January.

Nigel Davies, managing director, said: “We’re getting through an impressive number of jobs and the most important thing is that we’re still delivering an excellent service. The external reports we commission to monitor our performance show, this year to date, that 97 out of 100 of our customers are either ‘satisfied’ or ‘very satisfied’ with our service. I know some companies in our line of business were relying on the harsh winter that never came, but the mild weather has in no way deterred us and I’m a firm believer that it’s our service and word of mouth that’s making us so popular.

“Since much of the work we now undertake is repair rather than replacement, it makes sense for us to introduce new vehicles specifically for this type of job. The new Fiesta vans’ size makes them more flexible to attend any repair job – they’re lighter, cheaper to run, greener and have a smart new livery that we’re planning on rolling out to the rest of our Transit fleet this spring.”
