Skoda enjoys success at new Manheim auction centre

Skoda enjoyed a successful launch of Manheim’s new auction centre operation in Coventry recently attracting a good number of dealers both in the auction hall and online with over 150 vehicles on offer.

This was the first in a series of monthly closed auctions at Coventry for Skoda and lively bidding resulted in a 89.4% conversion and strong values achieved with an overall of 104% CAP Clean.

Strong performers on the day included a 2011 Fabia 1.2 TSI 105 SE DSG with 9,996 miles which achieved 117% CAP Clean, a 2009 Superb 1.4 TSI with just 109 miles at 116 CAP Clean, a 2011 Yeti 1.2 TSI with 3,870 miles at 113% CAP Clean and a 2010 Octavia 2.0 TFSI VRS estate with 11,863 miles, also at 113% CAP Clean.

Paul Grimsley, Skoda national rental and used vehicle manager, commented: “I was delighted that Manheim decided to reopen the Coventry facility. It gives us the opportunity to create a unique Skoda ‘experience’ and to improve engagement levels with the Skoda dealer network in the months to come. This first sale was a great success with good attendance and lively bidding throughout the day.”

James Leese, manufacturer sales director, Manheim Remarketing added: “The new Manheim auction centre operation in Coventry has got off to a great start thanks to Skoda UK. The quality of vehicles on offer coupled with the enthusiasm of the dealers all helped to make it a success. Our investment in Coventry is part of our long term strategy and the auction centre will support customers seeking an experience tailored to their requirements from a convenient, central location.”
