Clarkson Evans has invested in TomTom fleet management to boost productivity and better manage its mobile workforce.

The company, specialising in wiring new homes across southern England, the Midlands and south Wales, has introduced TomTom Business Solutions’ technology across its UK fleet of 160 vans.

“Having previously employed a telematics system that failed to meet our expectations, we turned to TomTom to help us to more efficiently allocate appropriate contractors to jobs and monitor their time on site,” said Catherine Mason, Clarkson Evans’ operations manager.

“TomTom’s WEBFLEET fleet management software is extremely user-friendly, and the brand’s strong reputation for reliability precedes it. We are already realising considerable efficiency gains from being better placed to optimize our business operations.”

In addition to TomTom’s LINK tracking units, Clarkson Evans has installed its ecoPLUS fuel monitoring and diagnostics device to give managers increased insight into fuel usage and to help lower fuel costs.

Giles Margerison, TomTom Business Solutions’ director, added: “We look forward to a long and successful partnership with Clarkson Evans, helping them cut cost, increase productivity and ensure the safety of their driver.”
