New appointment at Qi Van Systems

Commercial and utility fleet vehicle converters Qi Van Systems has appointed Steve Kirby as manager of its newly created fleet services department.

Kirby has more than 30 years’ experience in the fleet industry and joins Qi Van Systems in Telford, from BT Fleet.

The new post gives Kirby overall responsibility for the start-to-finish conversion process and is the latest stage in a major restructure and expansion scheme at Qi, which has already seen a doubling of production capacity during 2011.

Commercial manager, Stuart Paterson, will oversee the changes being made within the company, consisting of the expansion of facilities and the extended use of new technology to maintain the high level of conversion standards, product development and working co-operation now expected by major fleet customers.

Paterson said: “Steve’s role will be crucial in delivering this Qi customer strategy and I am delighted to welcome him to the team.

“Even in the current economic climate, we as a company, have made significant investments in both people and premises to ensure that Qi Van Systems can move forward to provide bespoke vehicle conversions and total solutions to meet our customer needs both now and as they develop in the future.”
