Nexus Vehicle Rental has launched a new version of its IRIS (Intelligent Rental Information System) system, optimised for mobile use.

With an increasing amount of business conducted outside of the office, employers and employees are finding more of a use for mobile technology solutions.

Smartphones are fast replacing notebook computers as the UK’s number one mobile business networking tool, a fact recognised by Nexus Vehicle Rental which has launched a the new version for mobile use.

Nexus has introduced the IRIS mobile site free of charge for existing customers.

The new service provides an easy to use, efficient booking system that can be used in any place at any time.

Once logged-in to the system, booking can be completed in less than a minute with quotes even quicker to obtain.

Designed to emulate the IRIS PC system, the mobile site allows all tracking, damage claims and invoicing to be viewed in one central, portable place.

Nexus managing director John Ellis explained: “With enterprise becoming increasingly mobile, we recognised a demand for businesses to function just as well on–the-road as in the office.

“We developed the IRIS mobile site, which offers booking and management of rental supply while on the move, in response to our customer’s needs.

“IRIS has been instrumental in the growth of our business and we are committed to developing the system in order to remain at the forefront of innovation in the sector.

“Our customers are already very happy with our service provision, as shown in our latest survey in which IRIS gained high ratings from over 90% of respondents for ease of use and efficiency.

“However, we are constantly looking to innovate and provide added value to our customers through enhanced services, IRIS mobile enables us to do this through the provision of rental supply and management on the move.”
