Cenex has announced its event venue and dates for its seventh annual Low Carbon Vehicle Event - LCV2014. Following its record breaking attendance last month, Cenex LCV will once again take place at Millbrook on the 10th and 11th  September 2014.

Attracting UK and international visitors, LCV combines a technology exhibition with broad B2B focus, a Ride & Drive in a test track environment, networking activities and an extensive seminar programme. It presents an opportunity for all stakeholders in the low carbon vehicle sector to showcase and evaluate current and future technologies and to discuss the issues facing the sector.

Highlights from this year’s event included Transport Minister Norman Baker launching the Government’s strategy to drive forward the ultra-low emission vehicles, confirming government’s commitment to the UK low carbon vehicle industry.

Robert Evans, CEO of Cenex said, “Every year the LCV event becomes more exciting with launches of innovative technologies and developments within the industry. Cenex is extremely proud to be associated with an event of such a high calibre and we will continue to work closely with supporting partners and Government to ensure the Event remains at the forefront of our industry.

“We had a record attendance at LCV2013, high quality speakers, an interesting seminar programme and fantastic vehicles available to ride and drive.  We look forward to building on the success of LCV2013, adding new features and broadening the appeal of next year’s event.  We have no doubt the event will continue to impress, educate and engage all attendees.

“We are pleased to be back at Millbrook for LCV2014 as it is the ideal location for the LCV event.”

Miguel Fragoso, CEO of Millbrook, added: “We are delighted with the way LCV 2013 was received and we look forward again to welcoming automotive and low carbon experts from all over the world to the 2014 event.

“Millbrook is in the privileged position of testing and developing more low carbon vehicles than anywhere else in the UK. Inevitably this gives us an enviable insight into the exciting world of decarbonisation and we are very proud of our facilities and our long association with Cenex and LCV.”
