£7.1m vehicles sold at Lex Autolease Megasale

More than £7.1m vehicles went under the hammer at the annual Lex Autolease Megasale, which took place at Manheim’s Colchester centre on Saturday, October 19, 2013.

In excess of 1,000 trade and consumer buyers participated, with more than half of those registering to bid online.

More than 30% of vehicles were sold through Manheim’s online bidding platform, Simulcast, and the event saw an overall conversion rate of 85% with an average of 99.5% CAP clean across the contract hire cars.

Glenn Sturley, vehicle remarketing director at Lex Autolease, said: “We’re thrilled with the results of our most recent Megasale event at Manheim.

“The buyers were out in force to take advantage of a diverse line-up, featuring small to large cars, premium and luxury models, hybrids, ex-MoD fleet, motorcycles, taxis, motorhomes, caravans and LCVs.

“The team at Manheim has done a fantastic job showcasing the plethora of high quality Lex Autolease vehicles on offer and we’re already planning an even bigger and better event for 2014.”

Mark Taylor, general manager at Manheim Colchester, added: “Our unique four lane set-up and the broad range of quality vehicles on offer ensured we had a serious ‘buzz’ in the auction hall, with hundreds of buyers also joining in the atmosphere through our online bidding platform Simulcast.”
