Key 103’s Cash for Kids charity has called on Northgate to help deliver thousands of presents to underprivileged children this Christmas. Working in partnership with Northgate customer, Cara Construction, both businesses have donated a driver to manage the 180 collections and drop offs over the festive period.

Northgate’s Rochdale branch has donated two Mercedes Sprinter vans to Cash for Kids to help collect and distribute the thousands of toys to children. The van, which was livered with the charity’s branding free of charge by Oldham based The Signbox, will be driving across Greater Manchester collecting and delivering the gifts from Tuesday 10th until Wednesday 18th December.

Noel Aston, branch manager at Northgate Rochdale, said: “There are thousands of underprivileged children across the region that would wake up without a gift to open if Cash for Kids didn’t work so hard to raise awareness, funds and donations ahead of the busy festive period. We are thrilled to donate a van to this worthy cause for a second year and are encouraging everyone to support Cash for Kids to help make Christmas special for all local children.”

Charlotte Pickering, Cash for Kids executive, said: “Thanks to Northgate’s kind support, last year we were able to deliver Christmas presents to over 6,400 local children! We are aiming to deliver thousands more this year, so Northgate’s continued support to the charity is extremely valuable. We’re asking everyone to donate wherever possible – just one extra gift can change Christmas for a disadvantaged child in our region.”
