After 14 years as operations director of ALD Automotive UK, Nigel Fletcher has resigned to take up a new position as group development director of Manheim. He officially leaves the business on Friday (26th April).

The company said that he has been assisting the incumbent management team with the smooth transfer of his responsibilities and detail on his replacement is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Fletcher said: “Over the last 35 years or so I’ve had a great time in the leasing industry and have made many friends, but another opportunity has presented itself which, at this time in my career, I felt I could not ignore.

“I’ll greatly miss all the team at ALD especially, and I will be very sad to leave them but I know the company is in a very strong position at the moment.

“There is a very experienced management team in place and I’m confident ALD will continue to grow strongly.”

Managing director Mel Dawson said: “I’d like to acknowledge the huge value he’s brought to the business since joining us in 1999 and the enormously positive impact he’s brought to all areas of the business to help us achieve the growth we’ve experienced in recent years.

“As a personal friend and colleague, I’m very grateful for everything he has done for the business and we all wish him well in his new venture”.
