Amey achieves Investors in People Champion status

Amey has gained Investors in People (IiP) Champion status - just six months after it achieved Gold accreditation - for going above and beyond in the way it develops, supports and motivates its employees.

The Champion programme recognises organisations that lead by example in the way they manage their people, as well as promoting the values and principles of IiP to other organisations.

As an IiP Champion, Amey will work closely with its supply chain and other businesses in the sector, acting as a mentor, to provide advice and share people management best practice. The aim will be to help other companies drive continuous improvement and achieve IiP Gold.

Valerie Hughes-D’Aeth, group HR and communications director, said: “We are delighted to have been recognised by IiP as an exemplar organisation which is at the forefront of employee development and talent management.

“As an IiP Champion it is vital that we continue to up skill and develop our employees, as well as working closely with our supply chain and local communities, to share our experiences, promote best practice and raise performance.”

Investors in People’s John Telfer added: “This outstanding achievement makes Amey one of the best Investors in People in the country. Being invited to become a Champion is an honour only bestowed upon organisations at the top of their game and proves that Amey really has the advice and techniques to offer other companies trying to reach their potential.”
