Telematics provider Quartix has partnered with Driven at Heart, a charity drive to the northern tip of Norway in support of the Marfan Trust.

The challenge is being organised by Morgan Motor Company directors Steve Morris and Tim Whitworth, along with a team of Morgan owners and hopes to raise £50,000 to fund medical research into Marfan Syndrome, a little-known condition for which no cure has yet been found.

The desire to undertake the drive to the Arctic Circle came about because of the plight of Morgan MD Steve Morris and his daughter, Lucy, who is affected by the condition.

Quartix will be sponsoring the challenge and supplying vehicle tracking units for the fleet of Morgan cars which will be making the 5,000 mile return trip to Nordkapp in May 2013.

In a bid to raise awareness for the Marfan Syndrome, which affects more than 18,000 people in the UK alone, the Nordkapp challenge team will make the journey from the Morgan factory in Malvern up to Norway in 14 days.

Supporters will be able to follow the Morgans in real-time directly from the Driven at Heart website.
