Optimum wins five year fleet services contract with OCS Group

Optimum Fleet Management has announced a new five year fleet services contract with total international facilities management provider OCS Group.

Following a review of their current fleet service delivery, OCS will outsource vehicle sourcing, driver support and back office operations for its UK business to Optimum. The outsourcing arrangement includes a dedicated driver help line and use of Optimum’s bespoke fleet technology platform.

Optimum will manage the entire OCS vehicle fleet, the majority being commercial units. OCS will leverage Optimum’s specialist fleet team and wider pool of over 60 procurement professionals to improve fleet efficiency and update procurement processes. Optimum will also manage supplier reporting and contract management.

Paul Morrison, head of procurement and fleet at OCS said: “Efficient vehicle provision is vital to our service offering within the FM services sector, meaning we need a provider with all of the necessary skills to successfully manage the commercial and operational aspects of our fleet. Optimum has a proven fleet pedigree and track record of success and this was an important factor in selecting them as our outsourcing partner."

Peter Rushton, Optimum chief executive said: “We are delighted to have won this substantial and prestigious new contract with OCS. This win reinforces the strength of our differentiated offering within the fleet services sector. Our independence, technology platform and wider credentials as a leader in procurement outsourcing enable us to offer our fleet clients significant cost reduction and efficiency improvements within a flexible outsourcing framework."
